SONGTSEN is a non-profit organization focused on rescuing, preserving and making accessible the cultural and spiritual tradition of the Tibetans. It represents over 30 years of aid projects and cultural activities initiated and followed through by a group of Tibetans and Westerners.

SONGTSEN is divided into four departments, which work seamlessly together and partly overlap but each focus on particular fields:

Economic development and cultural preservation, especially in Tibetan communities in Asia.

Conservation, translation, publication and distribution of Tibetan texts and teachings, both classic and contemporary.
|

|
Study and practice of Buddhism, as taught within the four main Tibetan traditions, particularly the Nyingma.
|

|
Support for deprived children in monasteries, orphanages and schools in Tibet, India, Bhutan and Nepal.

Songtsen is continuously working in various countries to provide humanitarian aid and in particular to help- preserve the cultural and spiritual heritage of Tibet.
