Q. What is a sponsorship?

A. A sponsorship is a commitment you make to support a specific project with a donation of a specific amount, for a specific duration. It is thanks to regular sponsorships that we can guarantee, for example, the care and education schemes for the many children and orphans we look after, or the scholarships for medical students in Lhasa.

Q. How do I become a sponsor?

A. There are several ways to become a sponsor. You can discuss urgent needs with our contact person; you can choose a specific project that you find important or inspiring, and once you decide the amount, the project and the duration, you can set up your sponsorship online, or by direct bank transfer to the Songtsen foundation in your country. Online options for recurring donations:

   PayPal: Use our PayPal recurring donation form for sponsorships and choose the amount to donate, the currency, and the length of the sponsorship (the number of months)

   Network for Good: Fill out the online donation form powered by Network for Good. In donation preferences, select 'I would like to make this a recurring donation' and choose a monthly, quarterly or annual donation. Online donations are made to the Kangyur Rinpoche Foundation.

Q. What types of sponsorships are there?

Q. How can I cancel an online sponsorship payment?

A. You may cancel a sponsorship through PayPal by following the steps below. It can be cancelled up to the day of the next scheduled payment.

1. Sign in to your PayPal account.
2. Click the 'My Account' tab.
3. Click the 'History' tab.
4. Click the 'Details' of the donation in question.
5. Click 'Cancel Subscription'.
6. You have successfully cancelled the sponsorship.
